Magic Trackpad glass works by conducting finger current through the glass and 3M adhesive under the glass to the capacitive sensor board to sense gestures. Theoretically any conductive material can be replaced (no glass can also sense touch gestures normally), so the normal function of the replacement depends on whether the replacement process is correct and whether there is damage to the capacitive sensor board.

1. Heating
Before removing the glass use a household hair dryer to evenly blow heat to separate the glass area for 40~80 seconds. Temperature to soften the 3M adhesive under the glass is appropriate (<80 ℃).
